Propagandhi

 

Propagandhi was formed in 1986 and by 1993 they became one of my favourite bands.

The band recently released their 5th full-length album entitled “Supporting Caste”, a 50,000 watt no-holds-barred, forward-thinking tip-of-the-hat to the giants — Voivod, Rush, NoMeansNo, SNFU, Sacrifice, Razor, Guilt Parade — that have gone before them.

Justin Faulknor

Local Hamilton artist, Justin Faulknor has a new CD out.  If you dig the singer/songwriter thing and like the Beatles, Beach Boys, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, def. check it out.  You can pick up a copy here!

Katherine Penfold

Originally from River John, Nova Scotia, Katherine started her career as a Celtic Traditional singer and song writer at a young age. She has traveled all around Southern Manitoba and into Saskatchewan with her piano and Celtic Flutes, playing solo for all types of venues such as Winnipeg Folk Festival, and Dauphin Country Festival. Through the years her appreciation of all genres of music began to shine through as her Folk music started evolving into Jazz, R&B, and Pop.

River City Junction is a Blues/Rock Band based out of Ontario, Canada. Playing a mixture of originals & covers, they span many styles & several decades of good music. From old Blues & Jazz standards to old time Rock ‘n Roll, all the way through Motown, Funk, R&B & Classic Rock.

These guys take this stuff serious.  Def. check them out if you get a chance.  Desire are really dedicated to doing it right.  David is a great guy, who almost keeps as busy as me, when it comes to carting his kids around to various sporting events.
