As you may have noticed, the website has been brought forward from the dark ages. One of my very best buds, Adrian from Blue Pill crushed the herculean task of updating a 15 year old website. The old one served us incredibly well until the internet in general started to balk at it. This new version works very seamlessly and i hope you enjoy the upgraded shopping experience.

If you need your site updated, I can heartily recommend using Adrian's services

We are super proud to announce that we are now offering Island Instruments at AAYSR.

Island Luthier Nic Delisle has been creating some of the most unique guitars, baritones and basses on the market for years. His love for vintage Sears-Roebuck catalogue guitars of the 1950's and 60's really shines thru' in many of his designs. Nic focuses on meticulously crafting original one-of-a-kind instruments entirely by hand, in close collaboration with each individual customer.  He is constantly trying to improve and evolve those designs for contemporary needs and standards, acknowledging and respecting the past while looking toward the future.

These instruments are incredibly unique and really look like functional art, yet they sound incredible.  Classic sounds and futuristic sounds are all on tap.  Check out our current inventory here.

We will also work with you on custom builds if you have ideas.

We are beyond super excited to announce that we are now offering the full line-up of JAM Pedals here at AAYSR.ca

JAM pedals began in 2005, when guitarist and sonic explorer Jannis Anastasakis set out to build pedals that didn’t just sound good, they sounded alive. What started as a one-man workshop in Athens has grown into a passionate team of builders, artists, and musicians who still make every pedal by hand, one at a time. These are truly pedals that sound as stellar as they look, and they look magnificent.

Over the years, these pedals have become trusted companions of some of the most inspiring players in the world: John Scofield, Nels Cline, Steve Lukather, Adrian Belew, Nile Rodgers, Mick Thomson, Greg Koch, and many more.

We are so pleased to announce we are now carrying Stager Microphones as we expand our Pro Audio offerings. We feel they offer unparalleled quality at very reasonable prices.

At the heart of every great ribbon microphone lies a great transformer—an unsung hero of tone and fidelity. The transformer is the bridge between the delicate ribbon element and the rest of your audio chain, responsible for amplifying the microphone’s output while preserving every nuance of the sound. A well-designed transformer ensures balanced impedance, minimal distortion, and a rich frequency response, bringing warmth and character to recordings. It’s not just a component; it’s the soul of the ribbon microphone, turning raw vibrations into the pristine signal that defines truly exceptional audio.

Every Stager Microphone features a proprietary toroidal transformer, meticulously designed to deliver uncompromised sound. This custom-engineered component ensures unmatched clarity, depth, and precision, embodying our commitment to excellence in every recording.  Check them out here.

I am a huge fan of pretty much every wave of surf music, so you can imagine how stoked I am to announce that we are the newest SurfyBear dealer.  Check the whole lin-up out here.

Surfy produce guitar effects with the heart and soul of legendary vintage music equipment while featuring modern technology and increased portability. Their mission is to bring you the authentic original sounds of the great classics and take them to a new level.

It is no secret that Surfy started their business with the development of the "SurfyBear", a reverb controller based on the legendary Fender® 6G15® unit, to re-create the same sounding experience, but with reduced transportation issues and costs. The worldwide surf music community has been extremely helpful and supportive, so much that thanks to these "reverb freaks" we reviewed our plans based on their suggestions and ideas. In the end, no music genre cares about reverb more than surf music!

They do not produce emulations, but instead work to give you the original tone of an effect. They like myself, are fans of analog, including the imperfections, since it is the only authentic sound.
