Complete with an NOS LM308 chip, this pedal recreates the sound of a vintage ProCo RAT. The “vintage/turbo” toggle switch allows you to go from the smoother clipping of the vintage big box version of the RAT to the ruder, more in-­your­‐face clipping of the more recent turbo versions.

As with all EQ’d Vintage Series pedals, the American Distortion features a powerful 3‐band EQ with a sweepable, parametric midrange. The concentric knobs keep everything compact, yet easy to use. The soft-‐touch relay switching system offers reliable pop-­free true bypass switching. The through‐hole (not surface mount) PCB is assembled entirely by hand in their shop in Richland, WA.
